הנשמה יורדת לתוך הגוף

The Soul Descends

The soul descends into the body not for its own sake, but to illuminate the world below.

This piece is inspired by the quiet mystery of the soul's descent — the moment the neshama enters the physical world, carrying light into matter, breath into form, and holiness into everyday life.

In Chassidut, the soul does not descend to remain untouched above, but to transform the world through presence, action, beauty, and intention.

The flowing forms and layers within the piece reflect the movement between spiritual and physical worlds — between concealment and revelation, silence and song.

וּפָרַצְתָּ — Ufaratza

And You Shall Spread Out

30 × 30 cm

And you shall spread out.

This piece was painted for Jerusalem.

Ufaratza — the word God spoke to Jacob at Bethel — means to break through, to expand beyond every boundary you thought was yours.

The gates of the Old City glow with gold light. Musical notes drift through a rose and amber sky. This is not a painting of a place. It is a painting of a promise — one that has not yet finished being fulfilled.

שאמיל — Shamil

The Longing That Has No Name

50 × 70 cm

The Longing That Has No Name.

Nigun Shamil was born from captivity — a warrior's song of exile, carried into the Chassidic world by the Baal Shem Tov's students as a melody of the soul's deepest longing.

The soul descends into this world and finds itself in a body, in noise, in the weight of the ordinary. And somewhere beneath all of it — it longs. Quietly. Constantly. To return.

This painting holds that longing. Not to resolve it. But to make it visible.

About the Nigun Series

Each work begins as a digital illustration, inspired by a wordless Chassidic melody. Once printed on fine art paper, gold leaf or gold ink — sometimes both — is applied entirely by hand in my studio.

No two pieces are identical. Each one carries the light of the melody it was painted for.

Hand-finished in northern Israel. Ships worldwide.
